Music is social. Yet usually one person decides.

mixody is the interactive jukebox for groups: guests request songs and vote, a fairness algorithm sets the order, and the host stays in control.

Want to start a party? Go to the app

Guest view: requests, upvotes and Boost decide the order.

Since launch: 9,500+ events in 60+ countries and 175,000+ requests and votes.

As of October 2026.

Guests who request or vote, and hosts whose party sees that activity.

The same scene at every party

  • “Play something else!”
  • “I sent you the song!”
  • “I added it to the playlist.”

One person has the phone on the speaker, everyone else shouts requests or sends links via messenger. Streaming services are built for one listener, not for a room full of people.

Shouted requests become a shared choice

Streaming knows the listener. mixody knows the room.

  1. 1

    Create a party

With Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music or your own music.

  2. 2

    Scan the QR code

Guests join in the browser, without an app or an account.

  3. 3

    Request and vote

The algorithm weighs votes, waiting time and fairness between guests.

The host stays in control: blocklist, base playlist, skip and pause.

Every party introduces mixody to new people

Anyone who experiences a party with mixody has used the product before hearing about it. Every host puts mixody in front of their guests, and some of them soon host a party themselves.

  2. 2Guests request and vote
  3. 3Guests become hostsback to 1

What is proven and what isn’t

Proven

  • Guests request and vote without an app and without signing up.
  • Used in 60+ countries without an international rollout.
  • Hosts, guests and advertising partners already pay – on a small scale.

Still to prove

  • How many guests go on to host a party themselves – our core growth hypothesis.
  • How often hosts come back and mixody becomes a habit.
  • Which of the three revenue streams scales best.

That is exactly what the next round is for. We’ll show you how we measure it when we talk.

One party, three revenue streams

  • Hosts

Premium parties and subscriptions: longer runtime, custom party code, more control.

  • Guests

Boost moves a guest’s own request up the queue, paid with credits.

  • Brands

Local businesses present parties nearby, visible to every guest.

All three layers already generate first revenue. We are refining pricing based on real usage.

Wherever people listen to music together

One product, different groups, the same dynamic: many want a say, one person holds the phone.

  • Private parties
  • Bars and restaurants
  • Gyms
  • Clubs and associations
  • Offices
  • Events

In use, for example, as a dorm jukebox in Brazil, an office radio in Houston and in a gym in India.

Team

Two technical founders who built mixody themselves – in use since 2023, developed in Wippingen, Germany.

  • Jonas Schwering

    Co-founder and CEO

Product, growth, partnerships. More than twelve years in product and software development.

  • Udo Gerdes

    Co-founder and CTO

Architecture, web and mobile, music integrations, payments.

The next step

We are preparing a €750,000 funding round, planned to open in Q2 2027. It lets both founders work full-time, improve activation and retention, and expand the channels that demonstrably work.
